I never heard anyone from the MU Athletic dept say this was going to be a good team. That all came from the media and fans. In regard to the effort, you may not have liked the quality of the effort but there was not a lack of effort by the team. Also, what makes sports enjoyable is that the end result is not as predictable as a lot of television shows. If it were, then what would be the fun of attending a game where you already know the outcome.
