I'm not a deep-pocket donor. Not because I don't have money, but because I choose to spend mine on silly things like paying my bills and getting my second kid through driver's ed and paid for so he can keep playing high school baseball.
Plus I live in Colorado, so I try to go to games when they're out in this area, but I haven't been to one in Columbia for probably 7 years. For me to pay $300+ to take my whole family to Laramie is a big deal. I thought the ticket prices were ridiculous, but was willing to pay it to see my Tigers open the season expecting a good performance. For them to turn in a complete turd of a game and get outcoached like that by a career I-AA coach and outplayed by kids not much bigger than me makes that ticket price even more ridiculous.
I'll still watch on TV because it's my school and my team, but I'll definitely think twice about putting any more hard-earned money on the line if that's the kind of effort I can expect to see. Odom wanted to buy out some seats last year to get people to the games? How about refunding those of us who went to Wyoming for failure to deliver a quality product?
