David, Job, Solomon, etc. God does the same today. There is nothing wrong with wealth per se. It is the temptation of the flesh to make wealth and goods your true god that is the evil of which Scripture speaks.

Those who use Scripture as a reference tool of argument and not the Holy Word of God commonly show their true colors by completely misrepresenting this passage.
