We didn't just claim it, the investigation agreed with Mizzous claim. There should be lesser penalties than post season ban for infractions which were deemed non systemic, and if the University self reported and cooperated throughout. Otherwise why have the self reporting piece? Of course Mizzou is culpable in several areas such as hiring this woman, not catching it sooner, and recent psst infractions, Gant, which resulted on a slap on the wrist. A different coaching staff and AD from when the infractions occurred should also factor in. Bottom line is this could be a serious blow to an already stressed athletic dept. Fortunately, Mizzou has no other choice than to fight these charges instead of our patented bend over response.
