some years where MU-ku was not on the final weekend.

For example, the 1994 team finished up against Nebraska to get to 14-0.

But for at least 30+ years, the NCAA title game is the first Monday (sometimes the second Monday) in April and if you play that backwards, the regular season ends then the first week of March.

This year is a bit of a quirk because of how the calendar falls. The regular season ends during the first full week of March, but 3/9 is obviously in week 2. That is probably what is throwing borg off.
