My son had abdominal pains (a common symptom). His pediatrician said go to emergency room. There they diagnosed HSP and scheduled an appointment with the head of the Pediatric kidney department at Washington University. We saw him within a couple days and he started an aggressive treatment with biweekly follow ups.
