A young healthy person would not, relatively speaking, have expensive health insurance in a free market. In such an event, people would be incentivized to live healthier lives for cheaper health insurance and medical care.
Also, we should consider the cost of the product that insurance pays for. The actual cost of medical care is greatly inflated by its insulation from market forces, as well as the pouring of money into it by the govt or govt backed sources.
