If Haith was as clean as you say, and in the program in as good of shape, there would be no reason for Alden not to give him an extension.
Something was holding it back.
And if Haith was clean, and if he had the 3rd best roster in the SEC... he wouldn't have been scared that an extension wasn't coming. There'd be no reason to jump ship. Nobody does a backwards move to a worse school in a worse conference.
Haith was crooked. Haith was declining every year... took over a 30-win 2nd seed team and they got worse each of his years in years 2 and 3. He didn't adequately recruit, and tried to stuff the team with transfers that had little eligibility.
That's why he hadn't been given an extension. All signs were pointing down in all respects.
He left before he would get fired, and he left a fricking mess to the next guy.
2 commits? Ha. They had like 6 spots to fill. He didn't even have a full team for the next year. And they had no upper class experience, and the entire team was going to be sophomores and freshman (the majority of which we had no idea where they'd get em).
Haith was a disaster.
