You don't get hired by your brother only to leave your brother unless you're not thinking long term. The brother realizes Barry is on shaky ground, and he should be praised for thinking of his future, and his families future first.
This is NOT a show of support for his brother otherwise he'd stay. The writing is on the wall... when you got 2-17 against power 5 teams with a winning record, can't recruit your own state, have no long term solution at QB, he's making a statement. Don't know what the future is here so better go the safe route where the OK coach is the hottest NFL coaching prospect in the country.
This whole program is going to fall flat on its face within two years because Barry simply can't coach and he can't recruit. If that happens who knows what jobs would open up for the guy, take the best one on the table right now.
I think this is a lack of confidence for this program under his brother. You can say whatever you want but that is exactly what I think it is.
