It gives people hope.

Friend said one student was critiqued for writing a paper about a Czech film they watched. Czech films are apparently notoriously dark and gloomy and depressing.

Student's paper still found a bright part of the film and the Czech teacher dressed her down for it, asking how she could manage to still find the good in everything. "Well, I'm a Christian and I look at the positives." Teacher "Oh", and went on to the rest of the class.

He said the influence of Communism is still a part of the culture and makes them question any organized religion.
