Oh yeah, well what if 95% of the engineering students at virginia tech were asian?
Think about that question, from a lib, no less.
If there we no affirmative action, no lower standards and no special accommodations to ensure diversity, what if the racial make up of the school were not "appropriate."
Woe is me. The apocalypse is at hand. Merit has replace melanin as the prime admission criterion.
I surprised him by saying, "Fine with me." Since he's a lib, he assumed i was a racist and wanted white people only, or at least overwhelmingly. I want alma mater to be the best, not the divers-ist.
I was assuming that as a state school the students were virginians or at least americans.
But what of diversity he asked. What about the white kids who couldn't get in?
I am for high standards, like they have for NFL cornerbacks only the very best should be admitted. Those that can't get into harvard can go to virginia tech. Those that can't get into virginia tech can go to louisville, pittsburgh or other schools that do not belong in the ACC.
I have said here multiple times that a supreme court with nine clarence thomases on it would be fine with me.
Not very diverse, and therefor racist. But arguably the best supreme court we've ever had.
You want diversity or talent?
