We have a number of disagreements then.
First up - might be the ending of local tax dollars being used for local schools - wherein you have a situation where a Ladue and Shawnee (two MO examples) have generously funded schools while East of Troost and East St Louis not so much. Is some of the failure of public schools found thus in the funding model?
That you don't care to pay for our collective children's education or well-being is fcked beyond measure. Perhaps you would support the idea under the current model of being relieved that portion of your RE taxes that go to local schools once your kids graduate? That is what you suggest.
There are no easy answers. I DO however contend that the beginning of your education - is a time of a BROAD base and not a narrow one, that one does not major until later.
Nothing easy about any of it, but I don't think we should dismiss free college, perhaps with the caveat that you need the grades to get in and have free trade school open for those who want it - and we can add TECH to that old Vo-Tech model.
