Pickett may never be better than he is now. He played against a much tougher high school competition, and was more ready to compete right away.

Watson played against weaker competition, and thus dominated the ball. He was his team's go-to for everything. It takes time for players like that to figure out their role and how to play away from the ball.

That's something Pickett naturally learned by playing with better talent around him and against really good teams.
