at every aspect of being a head coach. Took over a far more dire situation - a much worse situation and program. Had them better quicker... recruited better.
And yet... never had as many supporters trying to artificially prop him up as Odom does.
Pinkel wins 12, 10, 8, 10, 8 from 2007 - 2011 in five straight seasons and by 2012, the entire fan base turns on him (despite almost that 2012 entire team being depleted by injury). Wins 12 and 11 the next two years (2013-14) and by 2015, the fan base hates him again.
He can beat a top 10 Nebraska for the first time in 24 years. He can win on the road. He beats his arch rivals. Dominates his division. He beats the #2 team in the nation. He beats the #1 team in the nation. He even reaches #1 in the nation himself... and people still claimed he had no good wins.
Yet... Odom beats 0-2 Purdue who lost to Eastern Michigan, and its somehow supposed to celebrated with Champagne.
God it must be good to be Odom.
You can have zero good wins, barely a winning season under your belt... horrendous recruiting results, destroy a top 10 defense, have no quarterback recruited and ready that we know of for year 4, and if you dare question him, you are labeled a KU fan?
We have some weird ffans
