1. Remove the playoffs from the bowls. Make the separate. Bowls were created as basically an exhibition. Let them return to that. Have a 4 or 8-team playoff and then have the bowls (Rose, Sugar, and all) separate, played be the remaining teams.

2. Fewer bowls. I don't have an exact number but the right number is closer to 20 than it is to 40. 6-6 teams should not be in bowls and with the 12-game schedule and 1AA games, 7-5 teams probably should not make very many bowls.
