"today's" bowl games...unless you are going back

50 years, bowl games - outside of the ones for an NC - have always been an NIT game. Did it really matter that MU beat WVU in the insight.com bowl or LSU in the Liberty bowl or even GT in the Bluebonnet bowl? The teams out of the national hunt are just playing another game, which is good for the team and the fans. The current playoff system has only created more interest and excitement, not less.
