It will be for the better. I still bet 75% or more of the plays will be out of the spread with 3 or 4 wide. All he will be doing is managing it better instead of trying to run a play every 15 seconds. If the game situation calls for the pace to slow down a bit and let the defense rest then they will slow it down. It will be a better version of JH's offense last year. They will actually be running the offense to control the pace of the game and TOP. Think of the Chase Daniel years and i bet this DD offense is pretty similar to 06-08. They will be trying to move the chains with intermediate passes over the middle instead of constantly throwing it deep when its 3rd & 6.

You make it sound like he is changing the offense to a Wisconsin or Michigan State style of 3 yards and a cloud of dust.
