Thy haven't been able to review the actual devices. So, they are trusting the word of a less than honest company, that specializes in computer security, and would have the ability to fake the imaging.

It's completely absurd, but it's being done that way to avoid giving the FBI access to files that would show the DNC corrupt hiring, numerous felonies, and lack of controls.

No other entity in the entire US would be allowed to just give the FBI an image, and call it good.
