Odom had the opportunity to consult with Pinkel on administration and organization, staff hires, player development and discipline, team building protocols, etc. But he didn't tap that resource and chose to chart his own course. The first season Odom's moves screwed the defense. In the second his inattention to details lead to the overall lack of discipline, focus and a flood of on-field mistakes. If Odom fails this season and gets fired, it will be of his own making.
