I love the new redshirt rule.

A team like Nebraska last year could've unloaded their redshirts on Iowa in the final game once a bowl game was out of the picture. Same for Mizzou in 2016. It's a sort of counter for the extra practice players on bowl teams get, allowing teams to give young guys a little game experience.

It also should allow more guys to work in on special teams units throughout the season, which could cut down on injuries.
