has anyone ever driven from KC area to Pensacola, Florida

area? not a fan of driving that far and would rather fly but no real choice in this instance.

google shows me 3 routes:

1. going through Springfield and Memphis. shows 14 hrs 47 mins (896 miles)
2. going through Como and St. Louis and then south but avoiding Memphis. shows 14hrs 59 mins (954 miles)
3. going through Como and St. Louis and Nashville 15 hrs 10 mins (1004 miles)

any suggestions on which route to take? which has better, safer roads etc?
