what an overly simplistic viewpoint
how many "good" managers couldn't win someplace then got another job and won? Yeah, the roster construction matters, son. Ned Yost couldn't win in Milwaukee, yet he wins 2 pennants and a WS with KC. There are many more examples where that came from.
The dude has made the playoffs 4/6 years as manager, and won a NL pennant. He's not Tony LaRussa but he's not awful either.
Oh yeah, good to see you already know they won't make the playoffs this year after 9 games. That's a special gift.
