The defense will be an aggressive attacking defense that will shoot gaps, blitz 70%-80% of the time and play man press coverage on the outside. It will primarily be out of a 4 man front but will see a lot of 3 man fronts. Multiple. It will have a lot of 3-4 principles, such as using d-line men to take up blocks so a linebacker or db has a free run at the qb. Josh Bledsoe will have a huge year at the viper position which is the hybrid linebacker/safety, think Matt Milano or Mark Barron. The offense under Dooley will also help because it won't be this lighting speed Baylor style spread but more of a mix of pro style and spread -- meaning the offense will hold the ball longer thus allowing the defense to be fresh when it' on the field.
