his inability to relate to the high level D1 athletes. The egos and attitudes he faced at MU were different that what he'd succeeded with at CMSU. Those kids had had their egos broken and were willing to start over.
Kim's lack of relateability hurt him in recruiting (although we're seeing that many of those players are not as bad as they looked under Kim), and it hurt in him motivating the players, and it hurt in him communicating the skills and/or tactics that were needed.
The man is not an idiot. He knows the game of basketball, but knowing it and leading a D1 team are not the same.
Much the same as what happened to Norm in the 90's. He completely lost the ability to relate to the younger kids.
