I'm new and realize must tread carefully. I have maybe a different perspective to offer on those Lutheran North studs. I am closely aligned with the Lamar program that has beaten North in the playoffs. Those kids look like a million bucks in pads, but their motors don't run 100 mph all the time. Now I realize that can be changed over time, but I guess I may be a little happy that Odom hasn't been knocking down their door. I watched, as a coach, Sam Bailey move Antar Thompson across the football field fairly easily. It was EASY to see the abilities Antar had then, but a 2 star recruit won that day. These Trinity kids that have offers from everywhere, again, look like a million dollars, but I question their drive and commitment. It's funny that Illinois hired Trinity's coach as his "tight ends" coach when Trinity doesn't use a tight end. I guess my point is there is much more to DESERVING those 4 and 5 stars than meets the "scouting eye". I understand those kids will ALWAYS be looked at first and foremost, but one of my favorite Tigers of recent memory, Sean Weatherspoon, was just a 2 star recruit. He turned out ok and when he bust on the scene in the NFL the first accolades given by the Falcons, His heart and desire. Those things can not be measured by stars.
