The issue with BO recruiting is we have had a unique situation where Missouri is flush with on field difference makers. These players are on Mizzou door step and we have failed to land 3 to 4 of them and gotten only one of them. Odom recruiting per say on the out of state hidden gems and undervalued recruits has been on Par with GP and I applaud him for that. But his failure with local talent...talent we must get to to be competitive and move up the SEC food chain, has been a black mark and depressing.
We will never close the borders totally but to just be a opening gate and to allow all our Home grown talent to escape is unacceptable. If we could replace that level of talent with out of state players of equal value nobody would care but we can't go into Texas or the SEC region and get players of that caliber.
Thus the margin for error is razor thin for this staff to field a top caliber squad. And the truth is this staff is not the most competent or best at getting 100% out of our talent. So worries abound.
