Well someone has to emerge as #1 and #2...

The question for me is still, do any of those 3 have the potential to be a shut down ace this season, the kind of really special pitcher that all top 20 type teams have (and many of them have more than one). That's the question we need answered.
I'd like to see how they do over the next 12 games, all but two of which are going to come against decent to really good D1 teams. There will be plenty of opportunities over these next 12 games for one or several to show that kind of talent. After that we have the home opening series with 6 games against far lesser teams; that weekend will show us nothing about the pitching staff IMO. And then the SEC season is upon us.
I think by that opening series against Tennessee March 9-11 in Knoxville, we should have a pretty good idea what the ceiling is for this team for this year, and it's going to depend almost entirely on one or two of the current staff emerging as an ace type pitcher. Unfortunately that's the situation EE left us in, pitching wise, and we have to live with it. Or go hard after the very best transfer pitchers leaving their teams after the 2018 season.
