Our pitching was really bad in Tempe. At one point we gave up 11 HR's in a 16 inning stretch. NO, I did not say 11 runs in a 16 inning stretch,I said 11 HR's.
Rice reminded me a bit of Lowary as a freshman, great velocity, uneven command (but still better than Lowary's) & the need for an offspeed pitch.
Scales only pitched once & seems to possibly be the #5 pitcher in the staff now.
Baumgartner looks to be the relief pitcher.
I'd guess Norman, Daniel & Rice are the three who could emerge as our #1 and #2.
