So what if the Dems paid for this? It isn't even being relied upon in the investigation as far as any of us know.

You could speculate that the Steele claims were used as a basis for some FISA warrant, but that hasn't been demonstrated. And the relevance of the FISA warrant in the grand scheme of things is unclear.

The pubs just announced launching a FBI investigation of a Democrat (Hillary) on a partisan basis. So it isn't like they don't launch partisan investigations. Heck they basically launch partisan investigations continually.

The current special counsel investigation was launched by republicans after the election.

But I haven't spent much time on this stuff. Partisan crap is basically boring and predictable.
