What party line? I think the problem is with spending

I also think we should have a flat tax and stop picking 'winners and losers' by adjusting the tax code for people who lobby better than others.

If EVERYONE paid income taxes, they would likely be more thoughtful when they voted for candidates who want to increase spending or taxes because they will also feel that hit.
