He was overexposed because Kim needed someone to be a 'coach on the court' due to such poor preparation and tactical gameplanning and he was simply asked to do things he wasn't physically capable of doing.
Other than his athletic limitations, his main detriment is that he simply stands stationary possession after possession and is never a threat to initiate anything. If we asked him to move without the ball and tried to execute generating looks for him via off ball screening and hard cuts he might look like a different player. Remains to be seen.
