and expectations are off the charts.

If the pay is comparable, I would rather coach at Mizzou than a program like Florida or LSU. Here, merely reaching a bowl game is considered an acceptable result. Win the bowl game and most fans will say you had a great season. The AD might even give you a raise+extension. Pinkel wasn't a great coach and he was making over $4 million per year when he retired in 2015.
