the revival of the basketball program depended 100% on the the hiring of someone like Cuonzo Martin and his personal ties to the area and the Porters, etc.

Mizzou does not offer sold out arenas with tens of thousands of fanatical fans following them all over the country or a rich Final Four history. You had to find the right coach. Someone like Anderson, or Jim Crew could never bring the program back. That was proven. If Link couldn't figure that out he is in fact, the fool he comes across as.
