Many private employers have Non-Compete Clauses that prevent when & where an employee may work for a duriation following employment.
Also, in cases when player are released, they have secured some amount of a Signing Bonuses that compensates them for a reasonable term of employment even if they don’t fulfill that term. In other words, the employee is protected to some extent in most cases & to a big extent in some cases.
However, your right & I’m not saying you were disagreeing with anything above, pronsoorts drafts & Pro Sports Employment Agreements & Relationships are definitely distinctive & unique in many way in terms of Employment Agreements as a whole.
