They are being required to stand respectfully while on their job site. Every employer in America requires the same from their workers when on the clock. NFL player have embarrassed their employer and cost them money while on the job site.

Try this when reporting for you next night shift at McDonald's, wear a shirt that says 'F**k McDonald's' and let me know if they let you complete your shift.
