and maybe you couldn't. MU isn't a historically strong football school. You guys had a great 10 year run during our worst 10 year run. You could certainly hire a better coach than McIntyre, but it would cost you a pretty penny. Is MU ready to cough up that kind of cash? I'm guessing 4 to 4.5 million a year minimum and assistant salaries in the 1 million per coordinator range, plus 8 more assistants averaging about 400k per. I think you would be better off trying to find a McIntyre clone and cutting those costs some.
