I beg your pardon. CU was certainly as good as its record. End of season meltdown was more due to the crazy situation with the defensive coaching (one under investigation and 2 others interviewing, then taking a job with Oregon instead of preparing for the Pac 12 championship). Then, add in an injured QB at years end, and 3 injured defensive starters and it was a collapse. Still, 4 losses to 4 teams in the top 11. 3 wins against teams in the top 15-25. How the heck is that 'not as good as their record'? I'm not sure any team played USC with Darnold at QB better than CU did at the Coliseum.
