either the coach (Romar) goes along with the AD in forcing the Porters to remain apart, or the coach (Romar) is unwilling to do that and the AD fires him (in which case Romar can collect his buyout).

And when there's an HC change, the convention (pretty much an unwritten rule) is for a school to allow players out of their LOI.
