Maybe you meant to say "there's no proof of it", but there is certainly evidence that UW intended to keep Romar until he lost the Porters to Cuonzo/Sterk/MU.

A lot of well-informed fans believe this to be true based on the evidence and timing.

It's generally the KA lovers who try to deny it. Most of them refuse to believe that the Porters left CoMo in the first place because of KA.

In my opinion, the Porters would have stayed at UW if MU hadn't hired an established P6 head coach who they all felt comfortable with... like CM.
