You think a person who becomes blind would wander the streets until he starves to death.

That implies you believe ALL citizens would refuse to offer help/charity of their own accord (else the man wouldn't wander until he starved).

therefore, you believe all people are craven and won't help others and hence support the govt forcing extraction of wealth from everyone to enforce your idea of charity.

Just want you to understand the implicit premise in your argument.


My belief?

Humans can be very generous of themselves and history is replete with countless examples of societies that help the very needy without compulsion from govt.
