Activist judges are an embarrassment to their profession. Supreme Court judges are supposed to rule only on constitutionality.
There are many bad laws that are constitutional, it is not the supreme courts job to deal with those. That is a legislative issue, it is the supreme courts job to ensure that any laws that are on the books pass constitutional muster.
That is all they are supposed to do. NOT make our society better or more fair. NOT to help the little people. NOT to implement social change. NOT to insulate us from our own poor decisions. Just to ensure our laws are constitutional.
