Make a presence in the cities you want to recruit from. Play SLU and show the difference between P5 ball and mid-level ball. Beat Travis Ford on the Court and you can beat him for recruits.
Don't understand the opposition to playing in-state non-con games. You are only talking two games plenty of room to schedule the usual patsies.
It doesn't kill a Big 12 team if they lose to a rival. It only makes the rivalry more intense.
Interest in MU BB is heading South. A new coach, some caliber recruits from the midwest and an interesting schedule is needed to turn this thing around.
