This last season, Mizzou women's basketball traveled to St. Louis to play SLU in December. Going into the game we were 20-0 against them. They averaged 1,700 a game this year but tripled that with 6,288 fans at Chaifetz for the game. The crowd inspires SLU to a great 4th quarter comeback and they beat us.

There was more press coverage of that SLU win than the previous 20 games of the series I am willing to bet. SLU is an improving program and they will use that win to gain recruiting momentum in the city and the state.

I get that it is a fun game to schedule but these sort of games do a lot more for SLU/Missouri State than they do for us.
