Abby George, and didn't count Moore.
10 is a huge class. Following up on 7 from last year who are now freshman. And with just 4 seniors graduating after this year (Fleming, Mack, Rathburn, Baxter), the math is very strange. You wonder if some of these 10 will be redshirted to balance out some of the classes. I'm not a big fan of unbalanced classes. But I understand after the significant defections in the last few years, we have been left with a depleted junior and senior class.
Glad to know 8 are in, and the 2 I mentioned are expected to sign in ceremonies planned for the weekend for some reason.
There are just going to be a huge amount of players on the team in 2018 with a net gain of 6 from this new class. Not complaining really, last years and this years classes are loaded with talent. Still only can play 9 at a time and some of these great high school players aren't going to see the field a whole lot, and you know how that works out.
Hey, EE and Pete have done a tremendous job in the last 2 recruiting cycles. We clearly have the potential talent to start returning to the WCWS on a more regular basis, probably not in 2017, but certainly in the 2018-2021 time frame. But it still all depends on the young aces EE has now lined up, Conrad now, Rice next year, and Danielle Williams from California the next year. We need at least 2 of those 3 to be great college pitchers.
