Then I wouldn't say we lost them. Some kids just want to go further away for their college experience. But to your point there are a good number of really good Missouri kids that go elsewhere. Can't get them all to come here, and not when Mizzou has a good nationwide recruiting footprint, particularly in talent rich California.
But if a kid from Centralia is good enough to get an offer from Alabama, then yeah, of course I wish she had stayed home. Wish the same for Paige Parker from KC, but we already had several elite HS pitchers locked up. That one didn't work out well at all for us.
Of course we've done pretty well with getting some of the best players in the state recently, like Crane, Gadbois, Nash, Ashley Fleming, Hudson, Marston, etc.
