I think there's a chance, worst case scenario, that every team in the SEC, and all the other top 25 teams in the country, have at least one pitcher significantly better than our best pitcher. We will have more depth than ever on this pitching staff, I think Norman, Baumgartner, and Conrad will be effective, but if you don't have one really great pitcher you are just going to get chewed up by the top offenses in the conference and country. I'd much rather have one stud pitcher and a weaker offense than the other way around, if you only get one or the other as a strength. Pitching means everything at the elite level of college softball. So I'm pretty desperate for Conrad and/or Norman to step up and show they can shut down an SEC offense and at least keep us in games. Because I think this team has the capability to score a lot of runs.
