But with our pitching situation, to have a proven pitcher on the market, who right now would probably be the best pitcher on our staff, seemed to be worth a look at least. It would only be a one year fix at best, and yeah there are red flags out there with her to be sure.
Seemed like it was worth at least asking her if she was interested in pitching for her home state school to close out her career, and find out why she so abruptly left ASU, and find out if she was willing to commit to being a member of this team and all that entails.
I don't think it will happen. But I'm real concerned about our pitching staff this year, especially with our ace-in-waiting being just a freshman and already having arm trouble. I think a lot of Mizzou fans are going to be surprised in an unpleasant way when they see where Mizzou stands in the preseason polls.
