She recently left Arizona State and has one more year of eligibility. She reportedly is shopping around on the west coast for a team to land with, but she's a Missouri kid from Blue Springs. Don't know if she has any interest in Mizzou, and only has 1 year left to play. And I don't know how her eligibility for the 2017 season would work out. But right now, IMO, she would likely be the ace of our staff. She may have some baggage, but beggars can't be choosers, we need all the help we can get, until our younger pitchers get more experience and Parker Conrad proves she can pitch at an ace level.
Kessler pitched for KU in 2013 and 2014, went 12-6 and 20-15, with ERAs of 2.19 and 2.47. Then transferred to Arizona State, sat out a year (she may have also been academically ineligible I heard), and led them in wins in 2016 with 12 and ERA with 2.90. Not bad for moving up from the Big 12 to the PAC 12 in competition.
Wonder if EE would consider talking to her.
