Anderson will have to re-recruit signees Gant, Wright
Among Kim Anderson's first priorities as Missouri's new basketball coach will fill out the rest of the Tigers' roster for next season.
That likely starts with convincing signees Jakeenan Gant and Namon Wright, both top-100 recruits nationally, not to ask to be released from the letters of intent they signed in November. It is too early to know where they stand on that decision.
“I don’t think it’s up to Jakeenan or his mom. I think it’s up to Kim Anderson to immediately reach out to the best recruit that they’ve got from a high school level in a long time,” Stokes said. “I don’t know their history, but I think Kim Anderson probably needs to reach out to Jakeenan and his mom ASAP because he is a hot commodity. The calls that I’ve been getting are from everybody, but right now, he’s happy in high school in Missouri.”
