JW3 finished his sophomore season behind only AJ in the entire MU history in career rebounding numbers through sophmore season. He is a considerably better player than Puryear, even though Puryear exceeded any reasonable expectation anyone could have realistically had for him. But he is still a below avg to poor defender and rebounder, and a non-factor in terms of rim protection. He struggled against most legit opposing front lines offensively, which is to be expected given his role and size and him being a freshman. On many occassions he served as a solid go to option last year. But even then he wasn't nearly as good offensively as JW3 was.
